Irish Christmas in America comes to St. Joseph on Nov. 27th

'Irish Christmas in America' comes to St. Joseph for its annual holiday performance. For the first time ever, there will be a special Thanksgiving Eve show on Wednesday, November 27th for the public.

Managing Director of the St. Joseph Symphony Lori McAlister says the tour was started by Oisin Mac Diarmada all the way back in 2005.

"He has got a real passion for bringing Irish music, dance, story-telling - what would be traditional Irish folk customs - to America to reconnect with so much of the Irish Diaspora that lives here.  But also to connect with anyone that has an interest in authentic Christmas experience or just a flavor of what Christmas in Ireland might be like."

The holiday show tours all across the nation delivering fine, authentic Irish performances for people who enjoy the Christmas time. The show consists of many different performers from Irish singers, dancers, and instrumentalists.

"And they don't do a lot of work together consistently in Ireland.  But they all come together and tour so that we in America can see them perform on the same stage together for this 'Irish Christmas in America' experience. So that's what's kind of unique about this group as well."

'Irish Christmas in America' comes to St. Joseph on November 27th at the First Christian Church. Tickets can be purchased online at irishchristmasinamerica.com .
